Ara practices professional photography, specializing in portraiture, landscape, historical monuments and still life. He photographs with passion by seeing the special moment in each subject. He finds the angle and technique that does not upstage the subject matter. Instead, the viewer is transported into the scene, standing in the photographer shoes, seeing with his eyes what Ara saw before capturing the scene on film.
Ara has been living in Glendale, CA since 1979. He is a graduate of the Glendale College School of Photography and participated in several workshops and seminars. Aras photographs have been exhibited at art galleries and photography contests. Currently, two of his photographs are displayed on the International Library of Photography web site.
The photographs are made with special processes and custom printing techniques, with both black & white and color transparency films. All photographs have been printed on 100% archival photographic paper. The custom black & white prints, are printed on Arches 140lbs cold press watercolor paper, which results in unique characteristics for each print. All other black & white prints are on 100% fiber based photographic paper.
The museum-quality custom frames are designed for fine art photography and provided with Tru-Vue conservation reflection control glass, to eliminate glare. This glass is also coated to protect the image against harmful UV rays while presenting the true colors. The matt boards are museum-quality 100% acid free fiber based, which provide long life without color loss.
